Where do you live? --> Chhigu chhen ga-na khah? (Your house where is)
I live in Kathmandu. --> Ji-gu cheen Sydney khah (My house Sydney in is)
How are things? --> Gay chwan? (how is)
Fine --> Baan laah

Hi m from Bhutan. Here we dont speak in our newara language as we dont know our language. M interested n trying to learn. If u can make a dictionary - incuding all the words starting from A to Z. Its will be easier to me. Could u do that please. Thank u

ReplyDeleteIt is very useful post. Thank you so much. It is helpful in learning. I've also found an interesting Youtube channel named "Timila Ja" It is the best channel to learn Newari. It has more than nearly 200 videos on different topics. There are videos in English to Newari and also in Nepali to Newari. There is also a blog named nepal-bhasha.blogspot.com where you can find Newari song lytics.
